-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">1986年3月4日，《人民日报》在头版报眼位置刊发了主标题为《中纪委决定开除周而复党籍》的报道，并且配发了“本报评论员”题为《严守外事纪律维护国格》的评论文章。报道说，中国人民对外友好协会副会长周而复1985年10月20日至11月12门率对外友好协会代表团访问日本期间，严重违反外事纪律，丧失网格人格，经中央纪律检查委员会决定，开除周而复中国共产党党籍。<p style="margin: 0px 0px 25px; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: left; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">周而复的声誉就此发生了和以前天壤之别的变化。直到1999年11月，山西青少年报社主办的《山西青年》杂志在发表《谁是最贪婪的人——世纪中国巨贪“梦幻组合”》的文章，将建国以来涉贪人物刘青山、张子善、孟庆平、王新民、褚时健、陈希同、禹作敏、王宝森等人进行足球比赛场上位置排列时，还将周而复安排为守门员。文章说：“严格说来，周而复并不是一个‘贪官’，至少不是一个经济意义上的贪官，他的贪婪表现在满足个人的生理和心理意义的角度上。一作为一名从事对外交往工作的领导干部，他的本职工作应是树立我国在国际上的良好形象，成为一名真正合格的‘守门员’，但是这位并不安分的守门员却在这点上栽了个大跟头，1985年10月，由他率领的中日政治家书法展代表团在访日日期间不听同志的多次劝阻，擅自参观靖国神社，并拍照留念，开且在活动中的正式场合。他还在宾馆收看有淫秽节目的闭路电视。并要求女翻译陪看，而且还到药店购买春药，严重违反外事纪律，丧失国格、人性。1986年2月，中共中央决定撤消周而复的党内外一切职务并开除党籍。”该文后来又被《作家文摘》全文转载。<p style="margin: 0px 0px 25px; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: left; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">针对文章中周而复“不听同志的多次劝阻，擅自参观靖国神社，并拍照留念”，周而复回答，我因为撰写反映8年抗日战争的小说《长城万里图》，希望更多地了解日本军阀有关侵华的资料，为此准备去参观，参观煎，我将日程表报我驻日大使馆，送出4日，没有接到大使和文化参赞等其他人劝阻勿去的通知，我就理解为同意我的日程安排。于是我便于11月10日由日方安排参观了靖国神社，开且向日本老人了解当时的情况，没想到当天晚上，文化参赞才对我说，最近国内有通知，不要去靖国神社参观，如果工作需要，需中国大使馆批准，但是我并没有接到通知，而就已经去过了。文化参赞说，去过就算了，我们大使馆通知迟了也有责任，你不要和任何人提起此事。周而复强调，当时有对外友协代表团成员李海卿先生在场。</body></html>
